Dance Pizazz is excited to welcome Babette Brown to our studio for an exclusive day of private coaching with our students and professional instructors.

Based in Los Angeles, Babette travels extensively as a ballroom dance coach, choreographer, competition adjudicator, and DVIDA examiner. Her extensive career in the ballroom industry has included competing internationally, owning and operating successful dance studios, coaching dancers, judging competitions, and helping develop dance professionals and studio teams.

Meet Babette Brown

Originally from Salzburg, Austria, Babette began dancing at just three years old and discovered ballroom dancing at 16. She turned professional in 2000 and went on to compete internationally.

Together with Warren Brown, Babette became Scottish Professional Latin Champion and 10-Dance Representative, representing Scotland at major WDC World and European Championships from 2001–2007. Her competitive career also included American Smooth and a return to the Latin competition floor before her final retirement from competition in 2013.

Her experience extends well beyond the competitive floor. Babette has owned and operated multiple successful ballroom dance studios, including Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Florida, where she earned multiple National Top Studio awards. She later established Herzog Dance Studios in Los Angeles and continues to work with studios as a consultant, coach, and mentor.
